Bloated, Full and Tired
Before I came in for the treatment with Philip I was in absolute despair. I was struggling with digestive issues for years and none of the doctors I approached could diagnose me. I did all the allergy tests possible and everything came back negative. Meanwhile, I was constantly in pain while eating anything and the pain would re-surface in the middle of the night. I had very little sleep for more than a year. The sharp pain would re-surface between 2am-5am every night and I would walk across the flat to get some relief. Unfortunately, none of that work. I started cutting out most meals as anything I was eating was causing pain. I got to a point where I was scared to eat so I avoided eating most meals and had o nly one when I could not manage the hunger.
The pain subsided almost immediately after I started the treatment. In the meantime, I got tested for SIBO and the result was positive. I finally had a diagnostic to work with. I was so happy with the lack of pain and getting sleep at night that I embarked on a 6 month protocol. It was the first time in years that I saw any relief and progress. This gave me the motivation and determination to complete the program. The process was by no means easy, but Philip was a great moral support. He reminded me through every check-in that I am making great progress and this is challenging for most people. He was ready to assist with food suggestions and book materials as he undertook the protocol himself. I was impressed he would undertake the protocol just to get a better understanding of what his patients are going through. I truly felt like he understood my situation.
My relationship with food changed drastically. I am no longer scared to eat and enjoying every bite.
The list of takeaways are endless but I will limit it to the most valuable to me. I learned a lot about Zinc and how important it is in strengthening the immune system which was extremely handy with the COVID 19 situation. Go figure! I worked on digestive is sues and as a bonus I boosted my immunity. When I see some symptoms, I revert to the digestive support medication I used. I am more aware of the foods that need to be enjoyed in moderation and the impact they have on my body. And the most important part is learning how to interact with my environment in simple ways like remembering to breath when I am under pressure at work.

Sleepless, Restless and Sad
My issue was very early morning waking, usually after 3-4 hours sleep, this is an issue I have had for years. Once awake, I was unable to get to sleep again resulting in low energy levels during the day. The early waking was despite no coffee after midday (and at most 2 cups per day), exercising regularly (in the morning, not in the evenings), not smoking, and no obvious excessive stress. Philip took his time to explain what was possibly going on. Philip also took the time to digest the results of a recent annual medical, a recent allergy test and a genetic test. Philip was available for advice over email at any time, and made a point of checking in to see progress. This level of care and attention was highly appreciated.
I now manage to fall asleep after waking, and generally get at least 6 hours sleep a night. The treatment avoided addictive medicine and was without daytime grogginess. I have kept up Vitamin D and magnesium supplements. Early morning waking is not a concern.

From bloated and tired to free and inspired.
I have been seeing Phil for well over 10 years now … and even followed him from Australia to Hong Kong when he moved! Originally I went to Phil as my immunity was essentially non-existent. I was constantly getting sick and just when I recovered from one thing I would immediately get sick again.
Phil worked with me over time to build up my immunity which is now amazing by addressing any deficiencies and building me up to be far more resilient and healthy!
Phil’s approach is wonderful! Now I know when I am feeling a little run down I have a plan to make sure I don’t return to that place of constant sickness. Along the way, we have also managed a variety of other symptoms/issues that I have encountered along life’s journey.
Phil takes a genuine interest in his patient’s health and wellbeing. He does not silo the physical from the mental and approaches things in a very holistic manner. I really found this invaluable as I feel a number of my complaints were not only driven by physical triggers but also emotional/mental triggers.
Phil also has a unique way of explaining what may be going on and how to change perspective – he challenges your old thinking but without judgment. I have found this so helpful in not only moving forward in the short term but also gaining long term benefits for life.
He is a key part of my “life” wellbeing plan and I hope and intend him always to be!!
